INBENTUS
VERSATILE is a Class IIb ICU respiratory workstation developed for Inbentus, conceived to manage the full spectrum of critical care patients (from low-weight neonates to bariatric adults) within a single, unified platform. VERSATILE enabled Inbentus to consolidate its position as a specialized manufacturer of high-acuity ventilation systems, extending its portfolio with a scalable ICU platform that reduces hospital complexity while meeting the most demanding clinical and regulatory requirements.
At IDEA Design Strategic Hub, we approached the project as a clinical ecosystem challenge, following a Compliance by Design approach aligned with ISO 13485 medical device development principles, where hardware architecture, digital experience and operational efficiency had to work as one. The result is a high-acuity life-support system that simplifies clinical complexity, enhances patient safety and protects hospital investment through long-term scalability.
