At IDEA, we have participated in the “Working in Teams to Tackle Challenges Using Industry 4.0 Technologies” (TERETEC) project, an initiative aimed at introducing vocational education and training students to Industry 4.0 technologies and product development through hands-on work and practical challenges.

Throughout the project, we have worked alongside students and participating training centres on a range of activities, combining training with the practical application of knowledge related to product design and development, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

At IDEA, we have helped plan and deliver the activities, supporting students throughout the different sessions and providing training and guidance to help them tackle the challenges set. The work has followed a practical, collaborative approach, allowing participants to familiarise themselves with tools and methodologies used in professional settings.

Activities have included sessions on product design and redesign, 3D scanning and printing, and other tools related to product development and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Initiatives like this allow us to share our professional expertise and help familiarise students with the methodologies and tools used every day in professional design, engineering, and product development environments.

The “Working in Teams to Tackle Challenges Using Industry 4.0 Technologies” (TERETEC) project has been funded by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports under the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme.
